Big Sky
Label: Umbrello Cat. #: UMBCD0016 ---------------- US: Purchase ---------------- "Neo prog super group, The Syn, deliver a neo prog masterpiece." - Robert Silverstein, 20th Century Guitar magazine At its heart, The Syn's new album offers up an eclectic, millennial, cross-generational sound the roots of which hold firmly to and are planted deeply in the ground of 20th century experience yet whose branches soar towards the heavens. The band palpably, musically, and lyrically senses the struggle of our age to banish the darkness that has been so many centuries in its forming. And so 'Big Sky', as its name foretells, builds upon itself, note by chord, in fantastic layers of rhyme and melody to become the sun that shines the brilliant light of hope on the land. Darkness cannot stand as The Syn fuse their legendary past with the verdant landscape of the future as we all stand together under the glow and promise of the 'Big Sky'. Tracks: 01 Big Sky 02 Devils and Demons 03 New Reality 04 Universal Witness 05 Kings Clowns Cardinals 06 Milo 07 Running Out of Time 08 Madonna and Child 09 The Reason 10 Big Sky Reprise
