Yes bassist Chris Squire is back in the Syn, which was his group before he formed Yes, and they've lined up their first tour. The band will kick things off in New York City on January 8th, and they've already got dates lined up through January 22nd in Hollywood, California, with more to be added. The group will release an album called Syndestructible on Tuesday (November 8th).

Syn lead singer Stephen Nardelli is happy with how things are shaping up, but he told LAUNCH that the tour has already had an unplanned adjustment: ["The first date in America is, is gonna be New York. It was gonna be Boston -- we switched that because of some other commitments the drummer had, actually."] SOUNDCUE (:09 OC: . . . drummer had, actually.) The Syn also features keyboardist Gerard Johnson and twins Paul and Jeremy Stacey on guitar and drums, respectively. Paul Stacey is a member of Oasis, while Jeremy tours with both Sheryl Crow and the Finn Brothers. The Syn have also lined up a November 15th gig at The Marquee Club in London, where they played virtually every week back in the '60s.
