YES DRUMMER ALAN WHITE TO JOIN FELLOW BAND MATE CHRIS SQUIRE ON THE SYN'S TOUR OF THE U.S.

The First U.S. Tour From The Legendary Prog Pioneers In 40 Years

LOS ANGELES, CA, Dec. 19, 2005 Umbrello Records and Syn Music are delighted to announce that The Syn -- featuring founders Chris Squire and Stephen Nardelli have added Yes Alan White to round out their rhythm section for their U.S. tour in January 2006. The concerts will be a showcase to promote the band's new album, "Syndestructible", which was just released in the U.S. on November 8th.

Judging from the reception the album is already getting in the UK, the tour should be a must see for all Syn and Yes fans. Robert Silverstein from 20th Century Guitar Magazine declares Syndestructible as the best album of the 21st Century!

As one of the most well-respected bands of the swinging 60s, THE SYN were a regular at London's famed Marquee Club, where they opened for the likes of The Who, Pink Floyd, Cream and, most memorably, Jimi Hendrix's first-ever performance in the U.K. That night, THE SYN played before an audience that included all four Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and Pete Townsend, among other rock royalty.

"We were part of rock history that night," explains the group's lead singer Stephen Nardelli, who formed the group with Yes bassist Chris Squire more than 40 years ago.

The new band, featuring Squire and Nardelli, also includes classically trained keyboardist Gerard Johnson, and now, Alan White. Calling themselves "Prog Modernists," THE SYN tap their rich past and bring it into a new century with all the sterling musicianship you might expect from a band that is intent on continuing to make rock history.
